10 Reasons Why Baldness in Women is Increasing Nowadays

Comb your hair and you know and you have to either keep your broom ready or start wearing a wig. That is baldness. Increasingly women are facing this dreaded condition daily similar to men.The normal hair loss rate is considered to be 100 hairs per day. An unexpected baldness in women is when the rate exceeds this value. Alopecia is the medical term that defines this abnormal hair loss. Here are some of the root causes of growing baldness in women.

1.  Hereditary Hair Loss:

Women of all age groups are prone to genetic hair loss. Commonly thinning of hair is called female pattern hair loss (FPHL). With the lowering of Estrogen during menopause, women face this hereditary issue the most which causes baldness in women.

2. Nutritional Deficiencies:

Increasing a hectic lifestyle is reducing the amount of time a woman gives to herself. One downfall is a nutritional deficiency that leads to hundreds of issues. Baldness being one. Reduced intake of sunray (Vit D) and other Vitamins like D, B 12, and other essential minerals severely affect a women’s mane.

3. Medications:

Managing family and work is art. Added burden and expectation sometimes push women to take help through medication. Drug-induced hair loss appears within 2 to 4 months after their intake. Hair follicles go into a resting phase i.e., telogen, and fall out too early. Additionally, the severity is understood by a complete loss of hair in women along with alarming hair loss in every other body parts where usually hair growth takes place.

4. Birth Control:

During birth control blood volume and circulation increases. Hair fall becomes alarming during this time with hormonal imbalances that becomes a challenge to women.

5. Scalp Psoriasis and Dandruff Problems:

Scalp psoriasis causes hair loss. When added with scratching habits and harsh hair treatments, baldness is triggered.

6. Emotional or Physical Stress:

It is a fact that mental health is a product of emotional, social, and physical balance. Alopecia  Areata occurs when white blood cells attack the hair follicles during extreme stress conditions. During this time, we observe hair fall in patches commonly.

7. Autoimmune Diseases:

When your immune system fails to work properly, it wreaks havoc. Alopecia Areata is an Autoimmune disease. In this, the body cells unusually attack the hair follicles.

8. Owing Tight Hairstyles:

Traction Alopecia is a term used to denote the hair loss because of by unnatural pulling of hairs. A tight ponytail, rubber band, clip, the string causes extra stress over the roots.

9. Heat Styling:

Hairdryers, curling wands, and straighteners, are no doubt bringing parlour within every  house, but the repercussions are severe. The dry heat causes weakness in the hair roots and plucks the hair off their places when such appliances are used in everyday lifestyle. Chemically straightening your hairs, frequent application of gel and other hair treatment chemicals, or relaxing techniques for your head and shoulders are some frequently owned trends nowadays.

10. Hating oil massage:

Keep away from oiling your hair and be assured of getting bald by the age of 40-45 years. Oiling is an age-old method to circulate blood in the scalp and engaging our hair follicles. Without this basic activity in life, baldness and other issues crop up. Our grandparents used to tell it repeatedly, so heed by it.

Factors responsible for good health are also attributes of a person. Here, one has to keep in mind when artificial lifestyle has hit the population so hard, staying healthy is the only option. And if any attribute is an advantage to stay healthy then why not! Avoiding some temporary aids to get rid of baldness problem should be avoided. Rather opt for a balanced and healthy lifestyle to keep both, your health and hair flowing and glowing.
